new to speakers.

ok im new to aftermarket speakers and installation and all that. im putting new speakers in a f150 07 and they are 6x8 speakers. i know that much. now what else do i need other than an amp? does the amp need to be 4 channels since there are 4 speakers? and what about wiring? what kind of wiring do the speakers need? just like normal 16 gauge speaker wires. im sorry for all the newb questions.

I would go with 6.5" components and a decent 4-channel amp along with some 12awg~ wire... You can go with smaller wire if you are going to run less power, my comps run about 200W rms so I went with slightly bigger wire. If you run Coaxials, they usualy run on like 75w~ depending on brand/size in which case you could get away with smaller wire...

Or if you stick with Coaxials, you can run them off your deck but everyone knows that sucks... probably putting like 20~ watts to them from factory deck.

Personal i am running 2 pais of SS TRC.6N's on a CRUNCH P1800.4 and i LOVE it!!

and how do you find how many voice coils are on the speakers? this ish is confusing.
