new to forums, question about amp

hiya i just joined the forums and im starting the project on my system now. Have a few questions. I currently own a kicker 800.2 amp and was wondering what the amp itself is worth, im debating putting it in beacuse im concerned about the weight and i think i want to get a smaller amp. Im out for sound quality not quantity. I think i want to go with a smaller amp than that and run a single 10" sub. what do you guys suggest? If anyone wants the amp also i am willing to sell it to someone at a reasonable price also. Second thing is how woudl i go about forming a bustom sub box outta fiberglass that i can remove for racing ( thats why im concerned about the weight). If any help would be greatly appreciated.

go with a 10" comp vr and run it with a Kicker SX600.1 and idk what kind of car u have but u could make a fiberglass box easily and i don't think the sub and amp are goin to effect the wieght of your car that much. not enough to wear there will be a different in your 1/4 time umless u are like in the 11's or lower. and if u are then i wouldn't be puttin a system in it...lol
