These particular individuals originated from my family's hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. Folk in this area, I refer to as the "REAL KINGS OF CRUNK". These artists were producing works of art that can be considered "crunk" as early as the 90s; DJ Paul and "Juicy" J being some of those who jockeyed underground mix-tapes around that time. It offends me how Little John and his Atlanta possee self-title themselves the "Kings of Crunk", when I feel they aren't. Were there to be a "King of Crunk" title, the aforementioned individuals would win it. Eightball and MJG are two other artists who arose from the Memphis, Tennessee area as well.
