Any unbiased help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't put together a system in about eight years. I just bought a 06 cts and think it's time to put together a system. I just had a kenwood ddx616 installed. I am looking for help in making some choices on what is good nowadays. I listen to hardcore,punk rock music mostly. I like a nice tweeter good mids and planned on using a single 10.
When I started planning it out I was stuck on using a jl 10w7. The more I am reading the ID subs are better. I want to feel it kicking me in the back. Any suggestions I am open to any company out there putting out amazing stuff.
I was also looking at the JL HD amps. I guess I was always a JL guy that's why I keep going back to it but what these days is top of the line? I am not in the price range of McIntosh but want something good. Ian thinking either one amp for compenents and another for sub. The other choice is a solid 5 channel to do it all.
Ok. Now for the rest of the car. Iam reading the ID 6 1/2 sets are pretty sick for mids etc. The more research has me confused between ID and DLS. What sets by both companies are top of the line?
