New Speakers

I am looking to put a new set of speakers in my new 08 Tundra. Looking to see what you all perfer. The front speakers are 6x9's but there are plenty on adapters out there to change sizes. I have it narrowed down to either the Boston SL60's which are 6.5 components or the SL95's which are 6x9's.

I definately recomend comps. vs 6X9, a round speaker will produce a much better sound than an oval speaker. I personally like the CDT line but Boston is also nice.

i hate 6 x 9's myself, and always recommend 6.5 inch splits for the front of any car....

An Apline MRP-F550 90x4RMS. I really do not what to spend more than 200 bucks for the speakers.

If we're talking Pioneer speakers, I've heard good things about these:

That amp you have can be bridged to 250w x 2 channels, so definitely do that, and any component set you get will have plenty of power, and will get plenty loud, and sound clean doing it!

The Rainbow SLC 265 Kick's would be a good choice, too.

I believe CDT makes some good speakers in that price range, but I haven't heard them myself.

I've got a set of SL60s in my Tacoma running on 125x2. Major improvement on the Infinity Ref comps they replaced. Just ordered a set of Pioneer TS-D1720Cs, so in a couple of weeks I'll be able to compare the two sets..

I have the Pioneer Rev 6x9's in my rear deck. They sure are nice.

I was going to get the boston's though. They are nice too. Not as much bass though.

I'm going to buy this same amp in a couple days and also am looking for a 6.5 comp set. I'm not sure what kind of power my comps should have using this amp? -60ish?? I do not want to bridge my amp because later I'll be adding rears which will need some juice.
