My brother isn't too car audio savy and wants me to help him upgrade his system. He currently had 1 10" diamond d3 in a prefab sealed box running off a crappy sony amp. It's going in a single cab F-150 and and the mounting depth won't be a problem bc its going to be facing up, and we're getting a box made. So I need ideas on a 10" sub and amp that will get loud but also sound good. I was thinking type r but I didnt think it would get loud enough. Any ideas??

Type R would get plenty loud, build him a good up-firing ported enclosure and send it 800-1000 watts and that'll sound much better than the diamond

Can a 10 actually handle 1000 watts daily?? I didnt know that....
