New Setup

i have a sony 6.1 str-de597 receiver. all 5 speakers and sub are infinity. my problem is that my living room i mainly open with vaulted ceilings. i really dont want to run the rear surround speakers anymore. (to many wires and i really cant hear them all that good.) i was looking to buy some kind of set up using just front speakers and a sub. i want to keep the sub i have. i am willing to spend around 500-1000 for new front speakers. maybe even something like this http://www.topreviewshop.com/PolkAudio_SurroundBar.html should i keep the sony receiver or get a newer one? i'm not to familiar with home audio so be easy on me!!!

If you are willing to spend that much moeny I would say you should go to an actual dealer that sells B&W, MartinLogan, Theil, Rotal, and Rega....
