My cousin is getting 2 12" type Rs for his civic. He is probably going to get the MRD-1005, so which version of the type-R should he get. The dual 4s or the dual 2s. If im not mistaken, then the dual 2s would be better for the MRD-1005, because it is only stable at 2 ohms. Help me please!!

if the amp is stable to 2 ohms then yes get the dual 2ohm versions. wire each one in parallell and then wire the two together in series at the amp. like this.

Edit: thats series then parallell, but either one would work

He clearly stated his amplifier isnt stable down to 1 ohm... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
i owned the amp yes it is, it puts out most power at 1ohm, and due to imp. rise it will never see 1ohm anyway....

thats like saying my current amp isnt 1ohm stable but yet im running 1 d2 on it at one ohm all day every day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
