Hello all, just recently got my new setup installed and it sounds pretty good. However it seems that my mid bass cant keep up with my highs, I've heard of people adding an 8" woofer to help round out the sound better but I cant think of a very cost effective way to do that (I Imagine it will need its own amp and some sort of special x-overs so it only plays a certain range of sound) Has anyone ever done this without a ton of money and had good results? Here are my specs:

190a alternator

Optima Yellow top under the hood Deka Group 31 yellow top in rear

RD Audio Alpha Comp v2 components up front Tweeters replaced with Infinity Kappa Tweeters

RD Audio Alpha Comp v2 components in rear

Rockford Fosgate Punch P400-4

2X Rd Audio 1750.1s

Pioneer Avic-D3

3X Jbl W12 Gti MkII's

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you deadened the doors? Are the mids enclosed other than in the doors? Have you played with the phase of the drivers or messed with time alignment at all? The first and the last of those questions should be answered first. Sound deadening will tighten things up a bit and get rid of some of the road noise that masks midbass. Playing with the phasing of the system or using some time alignment will reduce or eliminate the cancellation which is most noticeable in the midbass range.

Id sit down and figure out exactly what all you will be installing for amperage consumption and add another 10-15% amperage useage on top of that...
