New rear fill speakers....wtb?

HU = JBL GTO's

Amped = REV's

I've used both and the JBL's sounded very nice off the HU, never got to amp them. I run REV's now and they get very loud amped.

How about some cheap midbass drivers? Less high end frequencies to steal soundstage. And how did you blow Polk?!? I'm running my MMC's and beating the ever living piss out of them and they are taking it like champs.

Good question. My experience with Polk, will take a pounding and still sound very clean. As for rear fill, I also like Alpine Type S. Run them in my car for rear fill.

Buy the same speakers for the rear as you have up front. You would not mix left and right speakers, would you? Think about it.

if they are just rear fill speakers , buying the same as the front stage would not be wise. For one if you have comps up front putting comps in the rear is totally useless and two you can get away with a cheaper speaker in the rear as it is just being used as a filler.

I personally run JBL GTO speakers as they are cheap and work perfect for fill. Mellow highs with nice mid responce.
