Ok, so my best friend is out serving our country at the moment and Me and him have been talking. I am gonna do a sub, amp, and box setup for him. I will have mike465 to build the box so im covered there I just thought I would turn to the Caraudio.com fam to help me figure out what would be a loud setup for his car. He has about $600ish to spend on amp and subs. He has a 2006 Honda Civic 2dr, with stock batt and stock 90amp alt. I was thinking 2 12s and a good 800~1000watt amp maybe what are yalls opinions? Last year I heard an 08 Civic Si Coupe that had a single 12" Type X sealed and direct fired into the cabin. Since a HO alternator was a tad bit hard to find at that time, they added a huge battery to the trunk for the 1,500 watt Memphis amp that was connected to the X. Regardless, it was LOUD and clean! IMHO, a pair of 12s on 800 to 1200 watts RMS should be sick in that particular vehicle!

That would be sick but i think thats a bit out of range lol and he might upgrade the stock bat later but he doesnt want any more xtra batts

That sounds like an excellent idea there ^^

You can get the R's cheaper, too, if you order them. Allowing you some wiggle room for wiring and etc.

Well we came up with 600ish jus for subs, and amp. we got another 300ish for box and wiring ect

Look at the Audioque SDC2.5's. Great looking sub, just got mine today and they are beefy. Match them with an AQ 1200d and you are set for 580 shipped

You can't go wrong either way. And local pickup isn't bad either, I was under the first assumption that it was in the manner of a craigslist deal.
