New power upgrade

Hello everyone,

I have been running a dual 3002 amp with one p210s4 sub, but i'm going to be upgrading to two p210s4's and a rockford p3001 amp. currently i just have a 10 gauge power wire running from the front to the trunk. and i think i might rewire my dual amp to power my front speakers. but at some point i might want to upgrade the dual to a 4 channel amp or maybe even a more powerful sub amp.

so my question is should i run 4 gauge or 0/1 gauge wire? i know 4 gauge could handle the p3001 and the dual 3002 but what about later? and also this is a place near me is this a good price and good cable? and i also found this ebay for ofc wire it says its 0 gauge by bullz audio and it's only 51.99 with free shipping

i don't want to run wire again but if the 4 gauge is capable enough i don't wanna pay for the 0/1 gauge wire.

for some reason it wont let me post a url, anyways the 0/1 gauge welding cable locally is 2.34 a foot with 990x30awg strands and can handle 160 amps

where as the 4 gauge is .90 a foot with 374x30awg strands and can handle 100 amps.

0 GAUGE AMP KIT 4000 WATT POWER WIRE WIRING KIT INSTALL is the name of the ebay auction for the wiring that looks nice includes a 150 amp anl fuse with holder. it has a 7 day return so i guess i could always return it if it isn't up to snuff right?

electrical system is the last place you want to skimp, but its your call, if you go with the wire your looking at you very well end up changing it again if you decide to run some serious power.

you could also look into the kca wire from knu, or some 2/0 welding cable to keep the power rating up a higher and the price down a bit.

yeah i can get 2/0 gauge welding cable locally for 2.88 a foot. would you mind look at that ebay auction though cause it says it has 0/1 awg ofc wiring and the terminals and an anl fuse with holder which would be nice for the price.

how high amperage is that good for. i know in i'll probably never more than a 2 sub mono amp and a 4 channel setup. should the 1/0 gauge be plenty for that much?

oh and if i should buy that ebay product what's an easy way to make sure it is ofc and not cca and make sure it's gauge is true?

okay so my amp got upgraded at an audiopipe 1500d and 2 10'' type R's. oops how'd that happen haha. anyways i plan on just going with the knukonceptz 0/1 cca kit. should i just go with their distro block and 4 gauge wire as well?

you shouldnt need more than 10-15ft depending on how your box is and where your amp is at.

the karma is really nice wire but its a pain in the but to use because of the case, im actually using the 8gauge karma as power wire for my kicker 40ss amps.
