New Pioneer Head Units

Hey, I was just wondering how many of you have the newest line of pioneer head units. I was looking at buying either an 780 or 880 premiere deck to put in a grand am. I love the 960 I have in my truck (other than the 2 warranty claims and it's still broken:eyebrow: ). The only features I really want to have is the auto time alignment and graphic equalizer settings. I usually just use the auto as a baseline and then tweak to my own preferences. The display and everything else comes second to sound quality and tweak-ability to me. Thanks guys.

if you don't need 32 bands of EQ and the pro mode that's on your 960, then go 780. if you want a white OEL screen and the other features i said, 880. I've owned/own a 780, 880 and 980 as of this weekend so i love em all.

I own a P740mp and for the most part I've had it in my chevy truck for a few years and have no complaints, never had a problem or issue with it's capabilities and function. I'm with you though I'd rather take SQ and any contributing factors over anything else.

Go with the 880 if you want more tuning options.

what's more wasted space, someone who can't search when there are about 10-12 threads on these decks from the past 3 months, or someone who calls them out for beind a douche?

on the topic of 780 vs 880, joe is right. the only difference really is a 16 band EQ(780) vs a left/right 16 band EQ (880) and the pro-mode network. only other difference's are asthetics.

cuts out rear channels of power and allows you to run an active 2-way setup up front, and a sub stage.

Yep.

780 if you want fancy looks over performance.

880 if you want great performance, and can live without a color screen.

I chose the 880.

Im not wasting space now or ever, for it is the fashion of CA.com to argue. if you put in enough effort to complain to me, why couldnt you just say no or yes. i think your lacking in proper logic. Its a forum, i would understand if you were truly pissed at me for not searching if the explanation needed paragraphs upon paragraphs to write. I would give myself a good beating after i cut of my left ear for that.

just don't see the point in asking a redundant question. it's like asking " so does RE still do direct orders?"
