New Orion HCCA subs...

I had heard a ton of praise for their new subs for a while; people said they are really good, just not quite as good as the original. However, recently I heard they are overpriced pieces of shit. Can anyone with experience tell me how truly good/bad they are? I know one thing is for sure...they are fuckin heavy! God, the 12" at Outrageous audio feels as heavy, if not heavier as my APX18. I know that that doesn't tell the story though...

A reputable member here with an SPL install, I forget who (snoopdan maybe), did a head to head comparison between the new HCCA and several other popular SPL subs currently on the market. The Orion did miserable.

I have almost no direct experience with them however.

The new HCCA is almost impossible to tear up... huge coil, huge spider, very stiff, good cooling, well put together, etc.

I don't really consider it an elite SPL driver but they can get loud and are very very durable.
