Had 13W7/1000/1, want to get louder with single 12..?

Sold my 13W7 and 1000/1 last year. Needing some bass, and the way I am, I can't step down, lol.

What single 12 ported in a ~1.5-2 cubic foot enclosure with 1000-1500 watts will be louder than the 13W7 sealed was? I was looking at the DD9500 and the FIBL for starters..

DC 4XL on 1500 will be a nice loud setup.

The BL isn't a bad choice either.

I'm not the biggest DD promoter, just to be different. Not because I dislike the product.

Level 4's sound pretty good, and w7's aren't all that great of a sq sub. My q 12" sounded way better than my buddys w7's. And my buddy's mq quart rwe 352 15's are some of the best sounding woofers I ever heard, He has 2 of them in 1.5 sealed each off a sundown 1500 at .5 , they put most everything I have ever heard to shame on sq.

Roughly how much do the Level 4 12"s cost? Thinking about going Level 4 instead of Level 4XL to save some weight....

I'm assuming that a level 4 ported would be louder than a sealed 13W7?

Could be. A lot of variables to factor in. You lose surface area, gain enclosure efficiency.

You may have disliked the w7 BECAUSE it sounded better. Its not talked about much, but the W7 is BL optimized (like xbl^2/split coil or differential-drive). Many people simply dont prefer the sound of a speaker almost completely void of BL distortion, because they are so use to it being there.

A 13W7 in the proper sealed enclosure and installed well should sound very good. Better than a lvl 4 ported, definitely.
