new orion amps hcca line

basically DEI realized that they need to get back to the roots if they wanna keep the Orion name going. so they are going back to the old school methods and power. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I can't believe this shite. HCCA used to stand for High Current Class A, but they were really Class A/B. A Class D amp that bears the initials HCCA is blasphemy! DEI can choke on it if they think that I would purchase one of these copycat, wannabe amplifiers.

well if anything i think it will be a step up from the hcca line from a year or so ago, they would do rated but barly i think this is a good step but only time will tell

The only problem is that I owned some of the original Orion amplifiers back in the late 80s/early 90s. The last round of overpriced crappy amplifiers are an insult to anyone who owned the original stuff! I picked up a HCCA 250 G4 from this forum and a friend of mine gave me his HCCA 225 G5, and even the post DEI buyout Orions are not built like the tanks from the 80s and 90s.

It is kind of sad to see the once great names go down the tubes like this.

yeah i understand but hey maybe they are just trying to turn things around a little bit, it probably wont be as good but hey it might be a solid amp if anything it will be better than the last batch of amps

problem is, no one wants to sell just an amp anymore .... they all have to have all this digital junk, crossovers, remote knobs, etc .. What ever happened to a regular 2 or 4 channel amp with NOTHING else ? Problem is, every decent headunit has EQ, crossover, time delay and all that stuff in it too.

Hence the reason I started collecting Linear Power. I wanted a no BS amp that kicks out some raw power and my Mustang may get an all Linear Power facelift next year;) Nothing beats a TIPS modified Linear Power 5002 that makes 1,100 watts RMS @ 8 ohms mono BEFORE clipping:eek:
