New Nissan Murano...

CVT is over rated. They take some getting used to. Down side is you cant change the fluid or check it yourself unless you purchase the special tools to do so. My CVT went out in less than 40K. Make sure you get the optional warranty. I ended up paying $100 for a $2800 repair.

The factory warranty on it is 3yr/36000 and 5yr/60000, we didn't take the optional warranty since we generally only keep cars 3-4years. If we decide to keep it then we will extend it out but I doubt we come close to using the entire factory warranty but good looking out though!

I had a CVT in my Dodge Caliber when I had it and yeah it took some getting used to. This one feels different, more solid. My Caliber wouldn't always change right away when I was driving normal and would rev high in city driving 20-25 mph. It could be that it was one of the earlier CVT's or that it was made by Dodge or a combination of the two but this one fells better. The Murano seems to shift smoother and actually has some get up and go. Its no 10 second car by any means but it has plenty of power to get up to highway/interstate speeds in a respectable time.
