New, need some advice/help on some stuff

ok, I'm thinking seriously about getting an indash dvd player, and some new rear speakers to go in my car

I suppose I need an amp or what not.......

I dont want to replace the door speakers if I dont have too because it would be too much of a problem ie new car

the rear/trunk speakers are visible when the trunk is open so I thought it would be easy to replace them....

again I know nothing about doing this........but I'd like to fix the audio/visual up in my car for long trips........the dvd part I know has to be messed with to make the dvd to play when driving......my girl would want to watch as she rides......I would just plug up an ipod to it or so on.......

I know if I purchase the indash I gotta get the scorsche or something to keep my dic..

any opinions on what to do or to get? anything and everything is appreciated....

i dont think it would be as easy as you think to swap the rears in that car. iirc you take em out from teh top. (needing to remove rear deck, etc.)

the doors would be easy to remove. (a pontiac forum would most likly help with that)

and you would be better off replacing thoes front speakers. with somthing nice. and you can amp them also. and have the rears stock running off the deck.

the back speakers look like they would fall out........and could be replaced and fixed with a harness? I could be wrong but from what I see and read it seems the lesser of the work of what Id like to do......

and would I have to do the door speakers? if I replaced the back? I mean then I would have to take the door panel off etc......

like I said......I know nothing much about car audio......I'm usually good at anything I do.....but I'm jumping into this blind........I'll probably get an uncle that has done similar to help tho
