New member from Louisiana

Shreveport, LA here. I have been in to car audio since before I could drive, my brother got me started in the late 80's. I got in to for real when I turned 16, saved up what I could and bought 2 MTX Thunder 2000's (12"s) and a matching MTX amp (circa 1997), we built my enclosure as well.

Been through a bunch of subs/amps since (old school PPI flat pistons, old school Vega series Vega's, Punch before they merged RF and Punch, Pyle Driver II's before they became the suckage pyle is today, Autotek 22's, Punch 45's, etc). I kinda fell off around 2009 when my S12L7's I bought in 2003 from deployment money finally bit the dust, put my kx1200.1 in retirement and went CHEAP, autotek 1200.2, 4 ohm stable in mono.......sigh, and 2, actually not bad for cheap, audio pipe 15's (blue metal cone).

Installed my friends DD setup he had in his GTO, and got the bug again a few weeks ago. So I went out and bought my current setup from friends and craigslist, brought my KX1200.1 back out of retirement and now want more!!!

This Sanyo PA-6100 amp that is sitting near me keeps staring at me, kinda weird....

Here is my current sub setup:

These were in some sort of prefab ported box that started to come to pieces (was glued together, who doesn't use dry wall screws in a box????), so I stuck them in a 1.2(ish) cu ft per chamber sealed enclosure I bought back in 2001 for my wife's 2 (and very terrible and still very new/unabused sitting here) 12" RF Punch Z's. Not a permanent box, I just stuck them in it today and will build myself a larger sealed enclosure this week or the next (sealed 4life).

I just built a box and did an install in a 2009 Pontiac G8 this past weekend for 2 1508's, they sound good (2 little 8's needing 2 CU. FT. of space, smh), tuned to 35hz:

Before this Yukon I had a 2012 GTI, I stuffed the 2 15" audiopipes in it

Before the GTI I had a 2005 Ram SRT-10 QC, no audio changes (I miss this truck a lot! But not the 6 mpg premium only! Pitfalls of having a 505 cu in motor.)

TY for the welcomes, not born and raised in Louisiana (from Georgia) but have called it home the past 10 years. TY dakotamc81, I actually love going to Natchitoches - beautiful little historic town. Taylorfade - UGA all the way!!! lol.

Since blowing apart my ported box (and the sealed enclosue I stuck my 12w3v3's in didn't sound worth a hoot) I got one that was custom built for 2 memphis subs at 3.4 CU FT tuned to 34hz, and it sounds amazing!!! (I can build a sealed box in my sleep but ported, tuned I am just getting in to it. The 2 x 1508 build I just did was easy with aero ports, but I want to do more of a custom job with rectangle ports):
