New member from London + setup question

Interesting how an off topic conversation can break out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ok so the amp and the sub will work together and I will have the speakers wired with another amp.

Next question is, where would it be better to have the sub? The trunk in the box or below the window inside in the back. The car is a sedan.

If you're so interested in an all Alpine system, why not go with the Type X stuff all the way around. You could get the Type X 6.5" comps and a PDX-2.150 for around the same price as the stuff you're looking at now and you'd end up with matching amplifiers. And yes, the PDX-1.1000 will be perfect for the sub.
I'm anticipating the inevitable "what about the rear speakers" question, so I'll go ahead and answer it; You don't have to buy and amplify expensive coaxial speakers for rear fill. If, after you install the Type X components, you decide you must have rear fill, you can alway buy some el-cheapo alpine coaxials and power them with the cd player. They should be faded almost completely out of the equation to begin with.

So, what I'm telling you to do is buy the Type X components, matching PDX amps and the Type X sub. You seem to be interested in matching equipment first & foremost. My suggestion will ultimately lead to you having better equipment and it'll cost about the same as the stuff you're looking at now.

If you'd be interested in constructive criticism on every level, I could easily put together a list of comparable equipment that'll save you some money.
Sure Im interested if it will help me practically and in quality wise.

Budget : 1500 UK pounds
