As often as I've almost been hit by some bimbo driving a monster SUV because she couldnt do without talking on the cellphone 24 hours per day, I think its about time.

No matter where you go, take a good look at the countless people wandering around with a phone glued to their ear and tell me they dont look like bigger addicts than cigarette smokers.

if a cop saw them, they could pull them over for reckless driving or something. no need for more new laws. if a cop is close enough to see the cell phone, he's close enough to see careless driving.

Needs to be done. Using it for a minute or emergency or something is fine. I hate people who's always on there phone having conversations and crap while driving. You won't die without talking on the phone for a few minutes/hour while driving.

how long after a cell phone law will they make a restriction on stereos? maybe ban all in dash dvd and navigation, even for responsible people that don't abuse that freedom.

well i use my bluetooth while driving and its 100x's easier to focus on everything around you.

i'm just not with creating a law for everything. they whittle away at our freedoms enough already. there are already traffic laws that could be used for that capacity without creating another.

A) indash dvd's are already illegal to watch while driving.

B) Its been a law here in NY for a while now, deffiently a good idea, ive seen so many people just not paying attention, and I'll be honestly, ive done it myself.

Just be VERY careful. If its anything like it was here in NY, they went on a rampage the first few months giving out lots of tickets to "prove the point"

as far as I remember, $50 fine first time, $100 2nd, and $200 for everyone after that I believe
