New KX Series Amplifiers, Anyone Tried Them?

I would Snag this or that mmats 2000.2 long beofre i would go to kicker for power at 2 ohm.
or THIS GUY if you are really tight on space.

Is there any particular reason why? Or is it just to say that because its Kicker? I haven't heard the best of things when it comes to Stetsom, or any of the Brazilian amps for that matter, as far as longevity is concerned.

Now, maybe try to get this thread back where I originally planned, not as a "what amp I should get" thread. So, has anyone actually got to use or see one of these new KX series amps? Or, aside from the price, what's anyone else opinion on them?

Wouldn't consider that amp anywhere near that price tag, can easily get a better amp for 200$.
THD not stated anywhere, not even on kickers website.

Meh amp, kickers push their power.. but they are far from the most clean.

With that price tag and can get twice the power from a better company.

all tho i agree with you lets compare apples with apples thats a new amp price i dont think you can find a quality 1600 rms amp new for 200 also it you need power at 2ohms i would consider any of the alpine amps or the rockford cp amps if your tight on space at 2ohms you only loose about 100 watts

I have a KX1600.1 sitting NIB waiting for my Gcon's to get here. When they arrive, I'll install it and post back with results. Birth certificate says 1779

the fact that i cant find a listed THD anywhere for that KX and its price tag. and stetsom amps will never give you issues as long as you have a solid electrical system behind them, i ran a 4k2d (2 ohm version) wired at 1.2 on a SS XXX 15 for a while and never had an issue out of it.

at the end of the day, most of kickers price tag comes from their name, not from the R&d and actual cost for the equipment.

The owners manual for my KX1600.1 says 1% THD. In addition, I'll try to remember to throw the o-scope on it for giggles (I would add pictures, but it won't let me)

They are brand new so the price will come down. Lets not forget one of the best 1000 watt amps still cost over $700. I think these new KXS will be good, the 4 channel is active capable. That's something kicker has not done in a long time.
