I was once a "competitor" for eD. My 12As broke...both of em. Not 15s, but 12s. Poor design, but I'm not going to get into that. Point is (and I hate to say it) Josh is right. To all of you eD reps...there was once a thing called Team Industry. You see, this was before the days of magazine product reviews and such. We competed with eD products and generally just promoted eD. This lasted for...lets see...about 2 months. Then eD started to get big, and all the little people were forgotten.

Long story short...I'll never touch an eD product again. Some of you call this a hobby...which it is, but when you are used for promotional purposes and dropped like a bag of sand the minute the company you were loyal too becomes half way popular, you never forget it...because that is personal.

I agree. Cookies are good, but Sobe is unreal. Definitely worth it.

**** you all have to tell me about this ED thing shit, i didn't know anything about this rep ditching deal. Did you guys get paid for that? Were you made promises to move up with the company once they got bigger and more successful? I see SI reps around but all they do is.........be reps? Being a happy customer that sticks up for a product means more to people than being a rep and sticking up for it, just looks like a biased opinion (just rambling).

Also I also had an E12A that busted within a few hours of use. Sold the warranty replacement right away.

Do tell, Josh, what are the exact details regarding the eDi set? Do you know what the mods are? Do you know which tweeter is being used? I don't think Ben ever had the intention of making a full custom component set; hell, VERY few people do that. Alpine uses modifies SS drivers, but I don't hear people *****ing about that. If Ben can take existing products, make a combination that sounds great, and sell it for fantastic prices with a great warranty, then I don't see why not. A lot of people have been asking for eD components, and a lot of people REALLY like CDT. Seems like a logical fit.

I'm sure you'll try and rip this apart; feel free to. I like Ben, and I like the way his business is moving.

eD reps in the past were very loosely associated; there were no official contracts, and they didn't get paid. I was one before, but left on my own terms (busy with school). People weren't doing this for a living, nor will they be doing it now. At this point I have a legal contract with eD (just an NDA, but it did have certain requirements) and I'm going to have the ability to sell stuff direct, and yes, potentially make money off of it. But we certainly will not leave our jobs to do this for a career.

Honestly, it's not as bad as it seems...there are a LOT, and I do mean a LOT, of happy customers, however there are a select few who are choosing to voice their opinions, and doing so quite loudly across several forums. Hell, go to http://www.elitecaraudio.com, and you'll find **** near everyone likes the products. Even on ECA, where you'll see some complaints, there are still a ton of people who like eD.

Ironically enough, the loudest complaints are coming from is SIN, where eD used to have their forum. Things changed quite drastically when Ben moved it to ICIX...which really was necessary so people could have a place to post eD questions without worring about a mod editing or closing the post.

I do think we can say with some authority that there isn't an a CDT set right now that would be a direct comparison to the eDi's, although of course they are similar.

Yes..eD is still a small company, but my point is, its getting big...too big for it's britches if you will. I'm sure others can elaborate on the Team Industry deal...I wasn't the only one dropped on my face.

Sad - I seem to recall going though this crap with you once before a long time ago, I learned from that, but you apparently didn't. You'd think by now you'd catch on I don't act without prior provocation also - but then again, we are repeating history.

You are so full of it you are making my eyes brown.... The same threads that got closed on SIN get closed on ICIX to this day, hell, all ICIX amounts to is a **** clone of the system I implimented - twisted just enough so that ben can delude and milk kids into thinking he's doing something innovative and is their friend... Rock on!

Wow, Ben is so awesome at doing what he does... Which is take something that is already being done by someone, copying it, and acting like he accomplished something great.

And you ramble on... The only thing Ben has proved to me is that he'll screw anyone if his profit level stands to gain from it. Seen it done to several, ignored it a few times, then got the same situation turned on me. I made it a point after he gave me the 'let's still be friends' speech to let him know exactly what I thought of his actions and how I would not sweep his backstabbing under the rug again, period.
