New K's....

Actually, VERY few threads get closed on ICIX, and on there Ben can do product announcements and actually talk about when they are going to be released. He was NOT allowed to do that on SIN, and he was not in control of that area. It was a no-brainer for him to open ICIX, and I'm surprised it took this long.
Black sheep? Get a life, dude. While I have been talking to Ben for a long time, it's not as if I was a loyal eD convert. I've used a LOT of products, and will continue to recommend other stuff when I want to.

HOW IS HE GOING TO SCREW ME??? I don't have to do anything other than try and help people out, and the past "reps" were in the same situation before. None of us are obligated to use eD equipment, and the only thing that limits me now is that I can't talk about certain things. And, honestly, there is VERY little of that. If he's hiding something, I'd like to know, as I know the details of **** near everything, and I have yet to be surprised.

I don't know why you feel like you were screwed so bad, Josh. It seems Ben had reps before, and he dropped them. So what? It happens; those people were not legally bound to eD, and he had some serious issues with people pretending to be reps who weren't. Now we're listed on the website, and we signed an NDA.

Either way, this is ridiculous. Move on and get on with life. You're spending too much time ripping on Ben. I'd hope it would get old for you after awhile.
I'd hope it'd get old for you defending someone when you don't know anything about what happened other than what's fed to you - I expected you to be a little more thurough in your examinations... But obviously that's been proven incorrect also...

Your train of thought is skewed also - as I could care less about you reps... I never was one, nor did I ever ask to be one... As for you pretty boys being listed on the website, the old reps were also.

And of course your continuing miseducation about what rules we had for that forum only proves you're being misled. Ben was allowed product annoucnements, discussion, and everything involved, just no sales. (which we then worked around for him by adding the distributor forum in for sale) Why don't you do yourself a favor and ask the actual moderator of that forum, Derek, what the rules were... Since you are obviously incorrect.

So would you like to continue? Because I'm not about to stop because your half-assed view of things makes you think I should.

Josh,

I had made a big reply, but I removed it.

At this point, whatever is wrong is between you and Ben. Whatever happened with those Team Industry people is between Ben and them.

What I can tell you is that I'm happy with the way Ben has set up the new rep program. I can tell you that for 3.5 yrs of talking and doing business with Ben, I've been very pleased. I can tell you that there are a LOT of satisfied customers. I can also tell you that there are some that aren't, and that is true of pretty much every business. And I can tell you that it is pretty personal for some of y'all, but I can't fix whatever is wrong for y'all.

I have no doubt that for quite some time you will continue to rag on Ben, and I will respond politely to your posts, and respectfully disagree. Either way, I do agree that our arguments will accomplish nothing, but I'm going to make sure that anyone who reads your posts will understand that I don't agree.

If anyone has specific questions, I'll do my best to answer them. For the money, I do believe eD's products are excellent, but I'm not going to lie and try and push the product. If I like something better, I'll say as much. I will not compromise my integrity for eD, much like Josh has said his dealer status for Adire does not compromise his.

Anyways, I'm done with this thread...

Josh,

Fine, whatever. I really don't care at this point, other than to ensure people understand there isn't one side to this.

I tried to remove that post, but obviously I was too late.

Why don't you take your own words to heart Chad? Perhaps there isn't just one side to this...

Been down this road before.

Ok, I'll do that.

1. Ben moved the forum, and it seems that it wasn't communicated to you prior to it happening. I don't know all the details, but I'm assuming this must be part of the reason you're not happy about it. You counted Ben as a friend and feel betrayed.

2. Ben dropped the reps in the past. I do know he had problems with some of them, and problems with others pretending to be reps. I don't know how it was done, and I really haven't heard any complaints other than what you've said. Which I would think means that you know one or even a few of these prior reps, and they are unhappy about how it went down.

3. 15a's: yep, there were some problems, and one thing Ben did tell me way before I was a rep that people were using them harder than he expected. He implemented the aluminum backing, and I really haven't heard many problems about those. I'm sure this, plus problems with the build house, and problems with getting the cone were a major part of the motivation to move the v.2 drivers.

4. Team Industry - I honestly don't know a **** thing about this. Never heard of 'em before. I guess it probably relates to #2 before, but until just recently no one talked about this.

Is there more to it?

Tip of the iceburg at best, the start of the last straw - carried on much much further than that - started several months before that was even a thought.

I don't recall who the reps were. Fact is he added them and dropped them as soon as he found a more lucrative market.

Aluminum backing didn't help at all. They still break. Not "people using them harder than he expected.' He doesn't know what the hell he's doing - and for a while I helped smooth that fact over hoping Ben would get his bearings and approve a plausible design (hell, he was offered help, guaranteed an instant fix for one hour of engineering and a personal assurance the joint would never fail again, in his arrogance he stated he'd rather screw up several more times than ask for help from said person.)

Let me re-establish something:

THE USER IS NOT AT FAULT FOR eD's FAILING PRODUCTS. eD IS.

Better pray for that 3 year warranty, but you better expect to NOT see your original driver back because they haven't had a stable line for more than 6 months.

Ask team industry guys about it... I never was a part of that - I only gave them a place to reside until ben abandoned them.

Got enough? This should be getting tiring by now.

team industry? - past

SP problems? - past

flat cone problems? - past

dropped reps? - past

Ben and Josh's personal relationship? - don't really give a shiit

Not sure what your point is...whatever it may be, this conversation won't stop just because you hop in and say so. Drone.

Until you are face to face with me, discussing this matter (and no, this isn't a threat, this is saying until you talk to me in person, your thoughts are moot to me) - you'll never get me to 'stfu' - so I suggest you find a better line of argument.

Past commands the present course of action - of course you'd like it all to go away - it'll be better for your pocket if you can market the products.

(and don't stop with the flat cone problems or the SP problems, include the old K's, the avionixx amps, the first attempt at an amp lineup, the excuse after excuse after excuse...)

my point is, i am not here to defend Ben as a person. i am not here to explain problems that exsisted with eD's previous lines. i am here to offer product support for the upcoming line, the v2 series, amps, comps.

i am not blind, and i am not a lemming, get it straight

Have fun - but I always found online reps to be an idiotic course of action. Never seen them be effective when used in multiples - especially with a company that has so much crap sitting behind them.

I know how it is to be a rep...been one for a while now and honestly, I enjoy helping out a small company.

Lemme guess...your first time being a rep? Bet you feel all important inside. I seriously doubt that you are representing eD well by telling members of this forum to "STFU"...

Bye bye eD boys... I'm going outside to bolt my B10 pod to my door now.

You enjoy shaking your heads amongst the two of ya. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'll always be around, we'll continue this on another thread I'm sure eventually.

sometimes i wonder about the 15A problems, can it be a design defect? that was my original conclusion, however, the one i have now has been through some major abuse. if it was a design flaw, i would imagine it to effect every driver. however, i could be wrong. i can tell you it has nothing to do with power handling or over excursion. the aluminum backing helped about this much = 0. all it did was reduce damage to the cone and increase damage to the former when the t-joint let loose(the real problem). i can tell you this, it was not user error. i have no inside info on this situation, nor am i directed to form a 'standard opinion' on this matter. i was not an eD rep at this time, just an experienced user. i am however very pleased with my current 15A, and have been pleased as a customer in whole.

do you honestly think i am a drone, following someone everywhere, riding on their dick, saying what i am programmed to say. wrong, i am not one of these fools.
