Hi all,

I am new here and looking for a little guidance. I used to have some guidance from a local shop, but have recently been having trouble getting in contact with them (not sure if they are open or not). Big picture, I have a kicker 360.4 AMP already wired in with (4AWG, fused, power wire and 4AWG ground wire), powering all new speakers. I decided I would like to add this hideaway to add a little fuller sound. When the hideaway came I realized the quick connect harness for the audio input and power/ground, had the power/ground wires at 14AWG. I am curious if anyone has suggestions how to splice in the power from a 4AWG wire. Is there a distribution block out there from 4AWG down to 14AWG? Fues size needed? This just seems like a big step to me.

Does anyone have experience wiring in this new sub? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks!

A suggestion is to use a 12-volt power distribution strip such as the one pictured below. eBay or Amazon. Your local auto supply store may also have some. You would need to put the appropriate wire size ring terminals on your wiring to attach. You could do the same for the ground. If you go this route, purchase a distribution box with a cover to prevent accidental shorts. Just a suggestion. The sub is fused and the power wire is fused at the battery. You should be okay with the fuse situation. Others may want to contribute to this conversation.
