New iTunes update ... FVCK YOU APPLE

To be clear, I still have all of the music, but for some reason my XML file is completely blank. And IIRC, the XML has all song tag changes you've made stored in there, so without it, your songs go back to whatever tag they had when you downloaded them (like track 1, track 2, etc). Is this correct?

after further research, it appears my "iTunes Library.itl" is what has been wiped clean and I know no way of restoring it. fvck apple

plug in your ipod

go to my computer

click on ipod

follow the folders to your music

easy

winamp will read your files and sort them out

There is and Itunes Library file. The itunes library file is a clean slate. It is completely blank and reflects an updated itunes with an empty library.

i'm pretty sure when you edit it in Itunes, you change the data on each song, meaning it doesn't matter what it stores.

it's the song's data that itunes reads to produce Id3 tags.

i just changed computers and during that time the files where on a harddrive,winamp picked them up fine

then when i put them on my new machine itunes "decoded" the file

did you manually go in and type in something like 2pac-all eyes on me?

if you did it manually you are probably screwed
