New HU - Detachable Face & Memory Sticks?

I had my hard top jeep wrangler broken into for the second time in the last 2 years last night. Instead of stealing the head unit (an Eclipse CD8053) they broke the motorized face plate.

The previous owner dumped a ton of cash into the stereo so I'm looking to replace it with something nice. I don't really want another Eclipse (despite having a 6 CD changer) because the old one would overheat, you couldn't take the faceplate off, and the clock was rediculously small.

I have a ~$550 budget

The main things I'm looking for are

-Detachable face plate. I would like to drive without the hard top sometime while I own the car.

-Good pre-amp outs (the HD runs to an Eclipse EQ, which runs to 3 MTX 4x25 amps)

-Memory card reader (because I want to just dump MP3's on it and play without skipping).

What do you guys suggest? I was looking at the:

JVC Arsenal KD-AR8500

Any advise would be appreciated.

Clarion. Do either the 655 or the 755. The 655 plays mp3 cd's without skipping, and the 755 has built in memory. Both will save you a bit of cash too.

i have the 655. go with the 755MC. DXZ755MC. Music Catcher which can store up to 80 songs on the internal HD. Lots of features. You prob can get it around 270-340 at online car stereo.
