can't go wrong with either alpine or pioneer.

Organic EL> cheap text.

The Alpine has better 4V preout's and S/N ratio on cd (which means nothing).

If you wergoing to use an amp, the Alpine would be better..cuz 4V preouts are nice

i do not like the cheap text on the alpine. but the text on the pioneer that i played with for a few minutes was hard to read

the only thing wrong with my alpine deck is that the text is too large and you have to wait till it scrolls across the screen. It would be really really really good if the display could show the artist name, track name and the clock all on the same screen at once. That would be a lot helpful and less annoying.
