New Head Unit issues

ok I think I figured it out... I unplugged the rcas and plugged in another set just strung outside the car to the trunk, and there was no buzz or anything, so I assume the issue is interference through the rcas from the power cable that it's ran with
Ya man. It sounds like the RCAs that got damaged would be it. I like to use Stinger 4000-8000 series. Ive have great luck with these. Ive heard people using some from Parts Express with great experiences. I havent tried those. I use whats worked for me and havent changed much to being a stubborn old dog. LOL. You may find better pricing on these series looking and searching on Stinger RCAs.

I believe you found the culprit as well. I had no idea you had some damaged RCAs. Nice testing method used as well. Deff works man

There are a couple of options. You can use a marine bt unit. They come in the size of a hockey puck and can mount anywhere. This is the marine unit.
