Hey everyone,
My name's Jason, 25 y/o, live in Battle Creek, MI and have a lovely fiancee who is right now pregnant with our first born child!
Anyhow, I have a 1996 Cavalier coupe that I'm looking to do a nice SQ setup and wanted to get some opinions.
I'm looking to spend around $1000 for parts and I can do install, customization and building myself. I've done a few little systems before and nothing quite this detailed but here's my list of things to buy.
Head Unit: Kenwood Exceleon KDC-X492
Front Components: Infinity 60.7cs in Q-logic front kick pods reinforced with modeling clay.
Rear 6.5 Coaxials: MB Quart DKG 116s just to add rear fill
Speaker amp: Infinity Reference 475a 4-channel
Sub: (1) JL Audio 12w3v3-2
Sub amp: Rockford Fosgate P-325.1 mono amp
Now, the specs I ran for the sub box as a sealed enclosure caught me off guard. To have a QTC of ~.707 the box needs to be 2.84 ft^3!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif That's definitely a large box for one 12.
I've got 200 sq feet of Fat Mat and plan to double layer the car for best dampening ability.
So what do you guys think, seem like a decent setup??
Jason
