why are u people talkin like i wanted to create the next limewire? lol, i was just tryin to have a little forum section where people could post songs that make ur system slap, i dont think any1 is gonna care if songs get posted or not, if people cared so much u wouldnt see limewire running anymore.

Just because file sharing programs like Limeware are still active, it does not mean that a huge potential liability for the website is not being established by allowing music "trading" on it. Because I promise you....the RIAA does indeed care, and cares very much.

I don't know much about Limewire....but Kazaa, for example, went to extremely great lengths and expense to combat any potential RIAA efforts to stop it. Lengths and expenses that the Admin of this site will not want to go to.

This site is small, so it may not get "noticed" right away....but the act itself is still illegal, and definitely not a risk the Admin is going to want to take.

Now, a dedicated "music" section for discussion of music is not a bad idea at all.

ive been on forums where music trading it fine, its been up and running for 2 1/2 years and nothin has come up. so i dont see why anything should come up here.

Don't confuse the issue here.

The issue is not whether music sharing is ethically right or wrong, it's whether or not the Administrator of this site is willing to risk having it shut down because of activities that break US law.

I don't have a problem with file sharing (except in some limited cases), but that doesn't mean I'd want Goob to open himself up for possible legal action.
