New Forum Section Idea.....

...dont know if its against the rules, but i think there should be a section dedicated to music, a place where people can post and trade songs. Im tired of searching for limewire for songs that people post on here and wind up gettin viruses. I just think its a good idea since this is a car audio site. is it a possibility?

theres ways to get around it with legal disclaimers about them only being for backup purposes and the owners of this site not being responsible for blah blah, but i doubt it will ever happen

wont happen. Hell even the safest sites get either temporarily shutdown and have to spend thousands to defend themselves against the RIAA or end up just giving up and closing down. Dont think goob is gonna risk that on this site so a couple people who are too lazy to use torrents can download music.

the site wouldnt be held for anything, as long as they dont promote the idea of illegal downloanding then it should be fine, this idea wouldnt be a search engine like limewire were downloading copyrighted music is illegal but rather useres sharing what they alreay own. if the site doesnt throw out songs, its fine as long as they dont promote the idea of priated music. Ive been to a couple of forums where music is shared on and nothing has happened to this site at all. so why not here?

its called setting up ftp's and sharing with friends....of course you could potentially meet people on here who have large amounts of music available at their disposal. Of course that is the old school way of doing things... irc is easy to use and of course ng's.....but hey who knows.... might be a good idea as long as people dont abuse it or get too stingy with their bandwidth once they realize how much slower they will be surfing the web...
