have you heard his new album? I actually thought alot of the songs on it are some of his better ones, not all my style, but from a lyrical standpoint they are top notch for the most part at least imo

Ok, I'll admit I probly misworded that, as I often do. What I am really trying to say is that UGK didn't get a big break like Outkast did. If they would have, they would no doubt be as popular. Maybe the reason I said Outkast sold out is cause of that gay sh!t they pulled with Speakerboxxx......

there is in no way I could imagine ugk being as big nationwide and beyond as outkast, that shit is just ridiculous. I wish he never came back to be honest. Jay is a legend but I dont think hes doing anything for his catalog at this point. His style is very very weak IMO, there have been a few legitimate songs on his releases since the black album, but probably only about 5 or 6 in my eyes.

Whether you can feel some of his new shit or not, most would probably agree hes been declining pretty bad lately.

In fact they are the best of friends, how ever outkast appeals to a bigger crowd. That doesn't make them a sell out, their unique in thier music as the same with UGK. I agree during that period jay was on top of his game, first coming I. Sounding like nas, then switching his flow. But it worked and he became king once big died. However I still think he is 2nd rate compared to Nas. However American gangster was good and was a glimpse of the old jay. His new 16s on peoples songs have been wack. I hate the game now. These new cats are garbage.

I would say UGK was more influential, because them and geto boys set it off for the south, or the few good artists that came out of it.

RD vol 3 blueprint are all up to par with nas' best, and his second rate stuff, vol 2, etc is better than nas' second rate stuff...

dont foget about Wayne... Wayne is the hottest rapper out rite now, many haters might not say he is the best, but he is in the top.

For every good Jay-z song there is two good wayne songs. Wayne works the hardest out of all the rappers in the game. He has put out more good songs than any rapper alive.

Im not sayin Jay isnt good, but as of 2005-present, no1 has touched wayne.
