everyone is ripping on eminem saying he ahsnt put out a good song in 4-5 years when imo the re-up was pretty good, the 2 pac cd he produced and rapped on was good, bar shots 2(obie eminem and dj whoo kid) was good , and he mixtape with obie was killer too. dont get me wrong his old stuff is better but i dont think he has fallen off or even lost an ounce of talent, he still has crazy lyrics and flows, would you rather he pulled a 50 got big and then made every song on his new cd sound exactly the same. i mean any rapper could drop a new cd every year if they wanted to.

I cant say that I have heard the mixtapes with Obie. I really do like his older albums though.

The song linked in the OP didn't really do anything for me. Seems like he is rapping about alot of the same shit every mainstream rapper does. Getting *****es, The material their seats in there car are made of.....etc

About Outkast: I do not think they have sold out. Most of the stuff they put out is pretty original. I didn't really like alot of Speakerboxx and the love below, but I wouldn't call it "sell out" type stuff. BigBoi and Andre can both rap really good when they feel like it.

Lil Wayne: Now I think that he is actually really good and innovative. But the fact that he has a TON of music where he uses the same beats or the same rhymes really gets old. I think there were like 4 or 5 albums just from 2007.

I have heard songs that are so HARD that he is in, and then I have heard other like that stupid phone home song that just got on my nerves.

UGK: I don't think they ever really sold out at all, I think just just got more popular. I am a fan, but they do rap about the same shit over and over like Wayne does except they don't use the same exact wording. Okay, okay, candy paint, its dripping......Leather seats, woodgrain........drinking syrup.......etc

I find myself liking alot of NY based Rap lately though. Wu Tang Clan, Mos Def, and Talib Kweli. I can listen to Eardrum over and over.
