that picture's been around for months and the basket on the 13av.2 is no longer the same due to JL's threat of legal action against eD. what's your point with this thread?

I BELIEVE the motor is also different than that proto, as well..

I'm not trying to sway anyones opinion of eD or the 13av.2 but just for everyone to see.



what you see in red can be compared to the 13W7. The spokes here are space about twice as far apart than on the JL.

and what is in green doesn't even exist on the JL

I realize this won't change anything but i wanted to show why, when i look at the 13av.2 i don't see a JL basket. it is extremely similar but to call it a copy is a little off.

and unless teh top and bottom plate are what's tricking my eyes, i would say the eD basket is about 2 or 3 inches taller than the JL

I am still amazed people still trust that company, I would buy the IDMAX regardless.

of course. I would too. I just think there are a ton of similar baskets out there. this one happens to be similar to a JL basket. it would seem that if the basket weren't patented then noone would care about eD copying it. at the same time i think that if a company like say, image dynamics used a similar basket and was threatened with legal action causing them to change the design then there would be a lot more people here treating ID like people at ICIX treat eD.

that may have been worded weird. what i mean is that if a company everyone here liked ended up in the same basket situation eD is in right now i think the people here would be trying to make excuses in favor of said company just like ICIX makes excuses for eDs mishaps. it's company loyalty, and it won't change.

JL made the thread because they know the 13AV.2 is going to destroy the W7 in terms of performance and price.

but thats just me, i am not justifying their past, which i dont really care because i wasnt around at that time.

I will agree that the 13av.2 will outperform the W7. Of course, everyone at ICIX and eD will tell you that the 13av was not built to compete with the W7. They say the av is not supposed to resemble or perform similar to the w7.
