new computer speakers

i need some new computer speakers, i have klipsch now but i moved those into my bedroom and hooked it up to my xbox 360, i liten to music mainly on my computer, i never use anyhting else cept my car so i want it to sound good i might keep my klipsch on the comp and put different one on the 360 but i like the way they sound on the 360

keep in mind i have 100$ worth of best buy but i might can get my dad to buy them from me because he needs some new stuff for his house he is building

You want 2.1 or 5.1?

I have a set of Altec Lansing MX5021 and they are some of the best 2.1 speakers you can get. Great for music, but if games is your choice, then go 5.1.

its just going to hook up through rca cables to the back of my tv, and i just want 2.1 anyway i have no where to put other speakers, keep in mind i want good bass and sound good how do you like the altec's?

I have the Creative Labs I-Trigue 3200 and its great, got it for a good price too.

Now they have the 3300 which replaces it. Looks identical with different remote.

Great set of 2.1 speakers IMO.

I have the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 system now. It's incredible but getting a little old (got them when they first came out 4 or 5 years ago) and getting some crackles in the rear/left channel some times. My next set will likely be Logitech Z-5500:

But, I'm keeping my eye on these puppies and may just have to jump on 'em. They're practically audiophile level speakers and designed for near-field listening. You can add a 3 satellite combo for full 5.1 now or later. The M-Audio Studiophile system:
