ok, i need to get a great 15" sub for $200 (that includes shipping) for a friend. here's where u guys come in...what is the best spl/sq sub out there for that price? If possible, compare it to a tempest (one I already bought for someone).

If i got an SPL Competition Ready sub that has dual 1-ohm voice coils, then theoretically, I can run it on .5-ohm. Is there any amps that can do that and cost less than $200?

its probably about 1400 rms. anyone know any cheap 1-ohm amps?

The JBL1200.1 will put about 1400RMS at 1 or 2 ohms and it's pretty cheap...

ok, i think i might have narrowed the subs down to a few choices. please help me decide which of the following is the best sq/spl combo. Power accoustic 2000 watt max high sxcursion woofer http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/Catalog%20Page.asp?Product+%23=FUBR15 , a tempest http://www.acoustic-visions.com/Tempest.htm , audiobahn 800 rms high excurion woofer http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/Catalog%20Page.asp?Product+%23=AW1500Q , planet audio 400 rms woofer http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/Catalog%20Page.asp?Product+%23=Z15 , or a MA audio 400 rms http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/Catalog%20Page.asp?Product+%23=MA15IL . all are 15" subs. Please help me to narrow down the field even more or even help me choose one.
