you sturrin at me brah?
its not too hard to make a box for back there, you just have to take your time, and measure everything 10 times. i made cardboard templates, and test fitted the box after every new piece i put on. when i upgrade my 12's to a pair of mag 15's im building a box exactly like what jim described.
ported is tough though. you could get a ported 12 back there, but not 2 unless you go fiberglass. (i dont think, or my box would be ported)
when you build a box in these cars you want the subs to be as close to the rear of the car, so you minimize cancellation. its the same effect as putting your home subwoofer in the corner, and it gets louder. 3rd and 4th gen fbodies are set up very similar for acoustics. jim knows his f-bodies inside and out, and he's a hell of a nice guy.
