Higher power rating at a high ohm load will always cost more.

It cost big to produce that power in these amps on those loads.

^^ ummm not always the case. Most certainly not to the point to justify 6k bucks. You seen EMF's Merica 12k? Yea well 2000 does 12k+ at 1 and 2ohm so there goes that justification. Link below

It's a cheater amp to run in clamped 7k class... My best guess
