And what about them is cheap, besides the price? What part of that tiny picture makes them look cheap? Just curious.

I don't know really. It's just the impression I got. When I was compiling stuff for my website and put up all the American Bass woofers it looks like they cheaped out on their lower lines. I may be completely wrong and those could be very nice subs, hell, IMO JBL'd lower lines look like cheap chinese crap too but perform quite well. The VFL's look quite nice though, I don't believe they skipped any corners there. (I believe they might be related to one of Atomics higher lines, but I may be mistaken.)

EDIT: Just checked out there website, they have added quite a few new lines since the last time I was at the site a few months ago. Also, it says on the front page that no internet sales are permitted, so buy at your own risk I guess.

I know what you mean, when you usually see the price you think negative, or eh. That's how I felt when I paid $96 shipped for a BNIB Mach 5 MAW-15, and it exceeded expectations. Still one of my favorite subs.
