yea, you will need to get an oval piece made to fill that area in and get the sub wholes lined up again.

Looks like a 12.75 or 13" cutout that was oval-ed out.

sad thing is the cutout for my xfls in the old box fits these good lol

The issue is the old subs had a different basket with a larger diameter cutout and I'm sure he cut it out a tad larger then needed to allow for "wiggle room".

Now you have to have the flushed area filled in and mount the subs on the new baffle....no more flushed mounting.

I had a box like that once, just a suggestion measure out reference lines around the cutout and see if when the subs setting in all the lines there is material to screw into then it probably won't be much but it might be there.

well i think i can make it work. i set the screws in just right where its pretty sturdy (im smaking the magnet it wont come out) so ill make it work until he can do something for me. this was supposed to be the last trunk box for me but i guess not

I like Kangaroux' idea.. Cut halves and glue and screw to underside of the baffle, use longer mounting screws. I built that box exactly how you wanted it.
AB XFL's have a cutout of 288mm or 11.3386"
Derek's level 4's had a cutout of 11" I'm assuming the 3's are the same.
So, yeah if you knew you were getting the Level 3's, then why have me build a box for the xfl's---it's a 3/8" difference.

Why don't you post a pic of the inside cutout measured....should be 11 3/8" ---same as I made Jon's box and his fit fine. But you say your XFL's won't fit either?
