Next time you mount a speaker, got to lowes or home depot or where ever... Go to the doors and windows section. Drop $2 on a big roll of weather stripping.

The silicone residue is from my previous box that was painted. I didn’t want to yank the sub to put the weather stripping on and then try to mount the sub back on a vertical surface so I just slapped some silicone around the rim. This box has no air leaks with just the carpet. As for how it sounds... I have built three boxes in my life, each for this sub, each one has sounded drastically better than the previous. That means I am learning and makes me feel good for I am now justified in spending all this time on this forum.

The bottom of the box has an extension, Is that for asthetics or are the internal dimensions also angled out like that?

No its so the box if more form fitted to the floor. You cant tell by the pic but there is this stupid hump where the floor meats the back wall which prevents me from being able use a generic box shape.

what vehicle is that in? Cuz thats abig box...My lil 2.0ft^3 total box is too big for my hatch lol so yeah...Im gonna guess extended cab of somesort...nice work tho
