Well, after much deliberation, finally started building a separate box for spl. We still have a lot of work to do, but it's starting to shape up. Any comments/feedback appreciated. .

2 questions about your setup:

1. Are you running two sets of 15's 2 quantum and 2 cerwin vegas? If so Why?

2. What other electrical upgrades have you made besides that little 800 in the back because if thats all your car isn't gonna last long, especially with that heavy box you've got.

I am running four 15's in my current setup. 2 Quantum, and 2 Vega, simply because that's what I have, and they are in two separate 12 cube enclosures, with each sub in it's own individual chamber. It's walled, and tuned to 35 hz. That is what I listen to. For THIS box, I am gonna pick up another set of Vega's.

The alternator is new, albeit only a 105 amp, The wire from the alt to the batt has been upgraded. Let me stress that there is still a Long way to go, but all my current issues will be addressed next. One thing at a time.

He probably bought it bit by bit when he could afford to upgrade certain areas. That's what I did.

Alright, it's 1 am, and me and Shadetree just finished up the box. Still have to screw in the baffle, put in the threaded rod, and mount the woofers, but the paint has to dry. . . Tomorrow, I'm gonna pick up the other two Vega 15's, everything will be set for the local comp on Sunday! Here's some more pics, there's more in the album.

I filled in all the holes except for the ones in the baffle. I did this because with as much time as we have invested in this box, I don't look forward to building another one if and when my setup changes. Now, I'm not limited to the four 15's. I can go with 12's, or a bunch of 10's, just a matter of making a different baffle. I did lay out all the holes on the baffle so they were all even, and in a str8 line.

lol! The whole box is 3x thick. six full sheets in all. Not to mention, 14 lbs of bondo.
