ok i finnaly planned this box but its my first if someone could check this cus i used a port calc./bass box pro/calculator and got different numbers....

external dimensiond= 4.75ft x 1.7ft x 1.3ft - ( .54ft x .54ft x 4.75ft) = 9.1ft3

the minus part is for a indent in the box for it to fit the truck

so 9.1ft3 - .16x2 for the displacment of 2 12'' sx = 8.78ft3

now the port

i want to do a square port and if thats a bad idea ill go slotted but heres what i got

.59ft x .59ft x .43ft = 37 herts

i also what to make it able to pull out and put in a diff port of

.59ft x .59ft x .54ft = 35 herts

and 1 more for comps

.59ft x .59ft x .14ft = 45 herts

i also will have some port support and mabye some internal supports

so with the ports vol and all im lookin at a finish of

lik 8.7ft3 tuned to 37

is that way too big for 2 12'' sx given 2400 watts???

if so is it at least correct cus i can tweak the dimensions a lil to lower the volume....thanks for ur time guys! if needed i will pay to get this checked but i gotta wait til friday when i get paid....

That box is WAY too big in my opinion. That's more than double what RE recommends. You may want to rethink a box that size, especially with that kind of power.

ok thats what i was worried about but i can lose some volume in places to back it down to like 5ft3 but did i do all the math n crap right..cus im not gunna bother if i didnt even do it right the first place

I can't comment on the dimensions. I can say that 5 cubes total for those sub would proably be right on the money. I have my 2 15" SXs in ~7.4 cubes and it's awesome.

Do 5 cubes NET @desired tuning. AT LEAST 60 in^2 of port. Don't forget NET is the INTERNAL volume AFTER port and sub displacement (don't forget to add .75" to port width for the wall made out of mdf //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )

but if it was to be that size box and all would all that above be correct?!?!?

I dunno...y the phuck do you have it in feet??!?! Convert ALL to inches (except volume) for me...then maybe I'll decide to be unlazy and tell you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

lol ok

dimensions- 57'' x 20'' x 16'' - (6.5'' x 6.5'' x 57'')= 9.1ft3

.16 x2 for sub displacment = 8.78ft3

port= 7'' x 7'' x 5.21'' = 37herts

7'' x 7'' x 6.5'' = 35 herts and

7'' x 7'' x 1.65'' = 45herts

port displacement = .145ft3

port area = 47ft2 - that is probably too low huh?

final vb= 8.6ft3
