New box build for the 12" solo

Correct, I'm trying this instead. The last box I built was sealed up GREAT but it didn't stay like that for long with the solo x. I used pretty long screws on this one, Just trying a different way of keeping it sealed up.

Its the glue that holds the box together, not the screws. Those are only there to keep the box together while the glue is drying...

Yes it is, your sub is probably going to blow that box apart with no glue.

If you're only going to run a few hundred watts it might be fine.

Either a zx2500.1 or kx2500.1

iam a huge fan of kicker products...but i personally dont theink eather of those amps will make enough power for the sub....but its looking real good so far

Yeah, I did some looking around and its hard to beat that power unless I pony up a few hundred more $$. But the sub is dual 2 right now, I'm open to any amp's though, because I can just change to dual 4 if I buy a new SPAIR.

well if thats ur price range id def get the zx2500 i have owned 3 of them in the past...and thair amazeing in my opinion for the price...most of them do about 2700 at 2ohms....so id stick with that

Yeah, thats what i've heard. I was running the solo on a zx1500.1 at 4 ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif So anything will be an improvement now that I sold that amp.

ya thats a big improvment...what ever you do dont try and run it below 2 ohms they do not like it at all...trust me ive learned the hard way

you could take the screws out and just pulled the siliconed pieces apart and maybe try to put wood glue on all of your pieces.

Looks good but I would definitely use wood glue in the future and then some caulking around the seams if you want to make sure its a good seal.
