My old thread died and i never got a answer but heres my question

I have 2 American Bass XFL 12's. They both are rated 1000 rms a piece and i also have a kicker 2500 amp

Im in a 2000 saturn ls2.

I feel like these subs can do more then whats im pumping right now, what could be my problem? Shouldnt i be able to get some kind of flex in a saturn? Cause im not getting anything.

I have a 0 gauge power and 0 gauge ground. My ground is on the trunk frame i feel like i need to move that to some more medal would that make a big difference?

Would a new box fix my problem?... a new battery? or both?

And what would you all suggest?

Here is a picture below of my current box it came with when i got the subs.

do you have any electrical upgrades whatsoever?
No upgrades at all. Only extras i have is a pioneer 700bt and 4 pioneer speakers. Stock battery etc only the wires, amp and subs.

@pro-rabbit I get that i could use a new box but i need more details on what i truely need and what specs etc. I talked with beez and i think he should be able to hook me up with a box but im just trying to learn and get all the information i can before i go thru with it so i can truly understand whats being done and how much improvement itll make

Your tuning is more then likely higher then you like, and I would do a slot port or larger precision ports to get a better tuning and more port area. Also firing the subs back with the port worked better in the sl2 I did an enclosure for last week. As for your electrical, you need to do the big three upgrade the battery under the hood add a second in the back and more then likely need to get a larger alt.

This a was went over in your last thread. If you don't understand why we keep saying the same thing then please do a bit of research in order to find out why.

It was stated in your old thread that you need a new enclosure. Also that flex is a bad thing and not every car will flex.
^^this.

even on stock you shouldnt have a problem being loud in that car. an enclosure makes or breaks your sub setup, and yours is just not good enough to bring out what you want from those subs.

i sent you a email rabbit about a box. Also could i just leave the hood battery stock and add a more powerful one in the back? or do i need to have 2 new battery to make a difference?

Also with a new alternator what should i get or what do you suggest?

Screw the extra battery, unless you plan on playing the stereo without the car running.

Just go buy a HO alt of 250amps or more and you'll be fine.

I would suggest something like a Deka(very cheap) to run in the back. I would also suggest getting an alt and do the big three. With all of the and a new enclosure you should have no issues with getting loud.

i sent you a email rabbit about a box.
