New box and amp rack!! Pics

Was bored today so I decided to go ahead and build my next project. This is 1.2^ft3 @ 45Hz. The port is 4"x6.5" It is deffenetly louder then my last box which was 1.03@28. I couldn't play it to loud, b/c I didn't want to piss the neighbors off. I will play with it some more tomorrow though, so with out further ado....

As you can tell I'm still working on it. It is by NO means finished so all the trash and wire will be hidden when i'm finished. The MDF frame around the amp is just a test peice. It will be lounger and hopfully will cover all the exposed wire. I'll also make side peices for the frame so when its done all you will see is MDF which will also be painted black. I have the whole month of november off so I'm trying to make stuff last as long as possible. I will also be rerouting the speaker wire out of the port. I didn't plan on building the amp rack till after I had finished the box. (figured what the heck, mine as well give it a try).

When everything is finished I'm gonna take it to the local C/A shop here and see if he would sell boxes and rack that I build. I wouldn't make a full time job out of it but, I think it would be somthing fun to do after work and make a little extra cash. Worse he can say is no.

I'm open to idea's, criticism, or opinions....

I'll probably make another one, around 34 or so for a daily setup. I'll probably just take the rack off and trasfer it to whatever box I put in for my DD.

i disagree, not everyone likes the same tuning.

No one likes a box that doesn't fully extend into the lower sub bass region. With abox tuned at 45 you would want your SSF set at 38 at the LOWEST. And there you have it....after the roll off, you would loose alot of output from 38 and down.
