I don't post here much anymore, but thought I'd throw up my latest build. I had a Premier PRS setup in my S-10 several months back, and decided I wanted to go a different route. The current setup is as follows:

Alpine CDA-9835

ID Fullsize Horn Bodies

B&C DE500 compression drivers

18Sound 6ND430 6.5" mids

Pair of JBL W12GTi MKII

Premier PRS-D2100T for horns

Premier PRS-D4100F bridged to mids

Premier PRS-D2000SPL for subs

Lots of Damplifier Pro, Luxury Liner Pro, RattlePad, and Dynamat Extreme from previous install

Here are the pics from the build:

Thanks, Bumpin. It was a long 1.5 weeks, but it turned out great. The install is done, but I need to get some finished pics of the horns installed. The mids ended up being a little larger than 6.5" which is why I had to build the pods. I got the MDF rings from Marv, and built the bases myself. They ended up not coming close to clearing the door panels, so I cut the stock portion of the panel that houses the speaker grille out. I am more than likely doing 8" mids in the doors eventually, so they had to be cut sometime. I will get some grilles made for the time being and get pics up of them.

To answer the few questions-

I can't remember which model of horn bodies these are... I want to say CD1-Pro, but I'm not familiar enough with them to know. The compression drivers are not ID, but I did purchase the bodies and drivers from the same person. The B&C DE500s are apparently what ID uses in one of their horn lines. Regardless, they sound incredible. The impact is insane. I think I will have a hard time ever switching back to a small format tweeter. The mids are equally as impressive. Here is a link to the specs on the mids:

To whoever had the '94 S-10, this is my 4th or 5th go around at a blowthrough. I was going for a high impact, accurate, SQ(L) setup, and I got exactly what I was looking for. Some guys will enclose their entire bed and vent it into the cab; I'm not into that. The largest you can go without some severe modification would be 12" subs. The bed measures 15" from the underside of the lip to the floor of the bed, and with 3/4" material on both sides, you can only go 13.5" tall. One word of advice- measure twice, cut once. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif If yours is the same as mine, the gas neck creates a bump on the driver's side of the bed. So measure from that on both sides so you can make sure the enclosure is centered. I use Accordion Boot to seal off the cab/bed. You can pick it up online or at a local camper shell dealer. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Nice alot of work shows through those pics.

I love horn setups, dont see them too much on here and I like hearing different peoples opinion on them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

I have bought two Mach 5 SPL-12s bought, just waiting for Canada Post to drop them off.

My truck is the same as yours, but yours looks to be newer than mine. Mine was the first year of the round body style.

I have a camper shell to enclose my bed.

I think I might shoot you a pm.

Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I should post pics of my cut, bloodied and scuffed up hands and arms... then you'd really get the idea! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif It's been a long week for sure.

I failed to mention, but I have a 200A alternator, a new dual-post Duralast Gold under the hood, and a Kinetik 800 in the back, which you can kind of see behind the Kicker distribution block. It's tucked away in a little nook, strapped in place and surrounded by some extra Luxury Liner Pro I had left over.
