STOP. Your gonna blow the car up. WHY would you connect your alt positive to your battery's ground? Seriously.
BIG THREE

Chasis to Battery NEGATIVE

Engine block to Chasis(So pick ANY bolt on the alternator, engine block, transmission that is NOT Positive) and connect it to the chasis.

ALT POSITIVE to BATTERY POSITIVE. You seem to just be sticking wires in different places. Your gonna blow your car up.

1. Alternator Output to Battery (+)

2. Battery (-) to engine block ground

3. Battery (-) to Chassis Ground

x2 that's the way 99% of the cars come from the factory. Never seen Batt NEG to chassis before.

Might as well connect the chassis ground AND the block ground straight to the battery instead of connecting the chassis and block together.
