New Audioque Subwoofer (HDC3) PICS

DD be going to China soon too?
We don't serve the same market as DD. They hand build for people who want the best money can buy and will continue to do so.

Audioque introduced its line of subs to compete with the off shore products that proliferate the market today. We have been producing the HD3 series at our family owned production facility in Oklahoma City for almost four years. The HD3 was entirely built by hand using the very best American parts available with the exception of the baskets and magnets which are not available in the U.S. We purchased our raw steel and machined our own motors. For the most part our prices have been competitive with the off shore products.. We were able to do this because we sell Internet only and work off a very small margin.

Over the past four years American steel prices have more than doubled; American coil and cone manufactures have been either forced out of business or have drastically increased prices. Increased fuel costs have raised the costs of everything we must buy. These factors plus our own increased labor costs have made it increasingly difficult to maintain our pricing levels. We have always aimed our products ar the do-it-yourself and first time buyer enduser and will continue to do so.

Over the years we have been approached by many off shore suppliers and manufactures to either supply parts or manufacture our products. Realizing that we would eventually have to source off shore to stay in business we have spent the last two years designing subs and sourcing parts for off shore production. We have looked at literally dozens of manufactures and parts suppliers. We have selected what we belive to be the very best available and have educated their employees in our production and gluing methods and have sourced what our testing has shown to be the best parts.

The result is the new HDC3 series. The difference between us and most importers of off shore products is we tell you up front where the product comes from (The C in HDC3 denotes origin) and we actually design the sub and source which parts to use. Our family has beem designing and building speakers for over 20 years and is well known and respected for quality and performance. We did not take this venture lightly.

The truth of the matter is we save money by going off shore. Unlike most importers the savings will be passed on to the enduser. Our pricing will reflect the actual production costs.

Looks awesome DJ. If I didn't just grab a couple of HD's in the past few months I'd be sending my $$$ in tomorrow.

Lakaota.....I understand what you're saying as in car audio we've become SO used to paying a premium for what's considered high quality and/or name brand stuff. And a good majority of that premium price goes right into the manurfacturer's pockets.

I've talked to DJ several times and I sincerely believe that he makes subs to offer enthusiasts a great product at affordable prices vs just trying to make a buck.

Next vehicle will have 2 of the new 18's for sure.....

so for about $290 , hmmm its either 2 -type-r's or one of these hmmm theyll be about the same price , wells the r's might run a little more, how do you think a single 15 will do against 2 15" R's??

Bravo to DJL and Audioque for their honesty and passing on the savings to us consumers.

I will be wanting 2 15s or 1 18 (are these a special order size)?

I assume there is still a warranty?
